Thanks to everyone who came out to Cassidy’s last night on such short notice. It was a blast. Next time there’ll be more notice (I promise)

Way back in 1998 I used to use an mpc 2000 to do all my music production on. I’ve decided to revisit my musical production roots (with a few updates of course).
I find that with all the music making technology out there I’m spending more time getting caught up in the “what new midi controller is coming out next?” and “which new plug-in should I download?” rather than actually spending quality time pumping out good tunes.
I’ve decided to stick with a few key hardware pieces. An Akai MPC 1000 and a MicroKORG. I know it more limiting than the infinite possibilities that a program like Ableton Live offers. However I feel what I need now is boundaries. This is my late resolution for the new year.
I’m really excited and looking forward to what new creative possibilites are waiting to be discovered.
… Sheeesh!

It’s time for another mixtape folks. I was feeling in a bit of a tech house mood so that’s what I threw down. This mix also features a track named “Dirty/Sexy” by a very talented producer/Live PA artist named Fiction. He is the one responsible for putting together the Death Disco parties that I’ve been so blessed to play at and be a part of. The mix overall is energetic even if it is a bit on the dark side. Listen, listen … listen and enjoy.

It’s that time again folks. Another double whammy which we all know and love as Death Disco. Live PA and DJ’s = DOPE beats all night long. Make sure you’re there.

I was very excited to see the video to a song I had worked on almost 2 years ago. See the original post here. Ron Allen got the official credit but I created and played all the funky electronic synth sounds that make up the base of the song (funny how the music business works). Regardless of the politics, it’s an awesome song and Chach is a very talented singer. Look out for more from her.
